Training Catalog » Affirmative Action: Plan Design Overview (1-day Session)
Instructor: Mark R. Adams, Esq., SPHR / Patti D'Amaddio, SPHR
Fee: $225.00
The development and implementation of an effective Affirmative Action Program (AAP) can be an overwhelming process. This first of three sessions will provide you with a working knowledge of how to develop and maintain a comprehensive, written AAP.
Learning Objectives
• Learn the general, legal and regulatory framework of affirmative action from the OFCCP experts.
• Understand the core components of an Affirmative Action plan.
• Identify and understand how to design and implement company programs that support the Affirmative Action plan.
Target Audience
Human Resource professionals who are responsible for affirmative action plan development and administration (companies with federal contracts or subcontracts of $50,000 or more and have 50 or more employees.) The program is beneficial for the professional who needs a refresher on these responsibilities or who is getting involved for the first time.
It is recommended that participants who have not previously developed a comprehesive written AAP attend each of the three sessions. This will ensure the development of a solid understanding of the objectives and requirements of an Affirmative Action Plan, prior to beginning work on the statistical analysis portion of plan development.
