This program will provide participants with an overview of basic business concepts used in everyday business decisions.  Participants will be introduced to strategic planning, operations management, and quality tools used in today's businesses.  Instruction, exercises, and case studies are used to illustrate the fundamental concepts used by managers to make informed decisions.

Employees who are considering a career in managment, or anyone looking for an overview of business concepts.

Strategic Planning
• Understand the role of strategic planning
• Scan the business environment
• Analyze internal vs. external environments
• Conduct a S.W.O.T. analysis

• Understand the link between planning and process management
• Review process management tools (e.g. pareto charts, flow charts, cause/effect diagrams and affinity diagrams)
