Your key to knowledgeable hiring! Applicants provide potential employers with a great deal of information on their background, experience, education and skills. But how, as the potential employer, do you ensure the accuracy of this information? Statistics show that between 25 and 30% of the data provided by applicants is misleading, exaggerated or completely false. Where do you find the time to verify the data? Our Reference Checking Service can give you that time and peace of mind. Through objective investigation, we will address the important areas of employment history, past performance, rehire status, professional and technical skills, and accomplishments. Other services include academic verification, criminal conviction record checks, driving record checks and credit checks. These services are provided on a timely, professional basis so you can expedite your selection process! Specifically, our services include: Employment History/Education : Choose from our standard questionnaire, depending upon the position and the candidate, or we can customize a questionnaire for you free of charge. With each level, the scope of the investigation broadens, to ensure that you have the kind of information you need. The Fair Credit Reporting Act does require a separate disclosure form, which we can provide to you. Verification of education gives you dates of attendance, course of study, and degree awarded. Criminal Conviction Records : In many states, requests for public access to Criminal Record Information (C.O.R.I.) must be made in writing, and may take up to fourteen days for receipt of information. Access is provided to the general public but typically only to access certain types of information on conviction records, and is not available on all persons. EANE is certified so that if you are also a certified company, we can obtain that information for you as well. Please call for information and turnaround time in other states. Driving Record Search : Motor vehicle information is available from a state's Registry or Department of Motor Vehicles usually by mail, and will therefore take a minimum of 5 - 7 days to receive information. The report consists of information regarding infractions, and will cover a period of six years. Any infractions for D.U.I. are on the record for ten years. Please call for information and turnaround time for specific states. Consumer Credit Reports : Employers use a credit report when assessing employees or potential employees that may deal with cash handling, expensive equipment or have fiduciary responsibilities as a part of their job. FCRA does have particular disclosure requirements in regards to using credit information in employment decisions. Additional Services Available
