HRIS Manager 12 21 2006

We at Cooley Dickinson Hospital were recently praised by Newsweek Magazine and CareScience and are seeking applications for the position of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Manager. As an integral part of the Human Resource team, the HRIS Manager is responsible for assuring the integrity of HR information systems for 1,800 employees. Core responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with the HR and IS teams and other stakeholders, develop along term strategic plan for the use of HR technology.
  • Lead the development of protocols for determining project priorities and tracking.
  • Develop reports that will enable data-driven decision making by stakeholders and hospital leadership.
  • Assist users to best understand how to utilize technology to enhance their productivity.
  • Generate and adopt new ideas, aligned with strategic initiatives, leading to the development of new programming meeting the requirements of current or emerging needs.
  • Lead projects and conducts analysis to support payroll, benefits and other process changes.
  • Explores the potential of current systems for new applications which will provide enhanced value to end users.
  • Participate in cross functional teams to maintain, develop and implement all employee records, develop innovated means to deliver data and information to users and managers, and design new systems for storage and reporting of personnel data.
  • Provides guidance to the HRIS Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • A demonstrated track record of implementing technology in human resources and an understanding of human resource applications.
  • Two to three years data systems specifically working with HRIS reports and integration, Kronos systems experience preferred.
  • Organizational, project management, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people outside of own discipline.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into system design.
  • Experience in a Healthcare setting a plus.
