Research & Academic Program Assistant 8 8 2007

The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute is seeking a part-time energetic assistant to perform a variety of duties that include strong clerical support as well as budgetary processing for the department. Other duties include maintaining the departmental database; assisting the Program Coordinator and Associate Director with the maintenance of e-mail and postal distribution lists and with the development of contacts for publicity purposes; and supporting the department in recording and assembling both data and materials for grant applications.

The successful candidate will have excellent clerical and office skills, possess strong organizational skills, and be multi-tasking and very detail -oriented. Aside from clerical expertise, knowledge of art history is preferred; writing and editing skills are critical. Organizational and financial acumen and a familiarity with academic programs are also valuable assets to this position. The candidate will be expected to handle confidential material appropriately, and interpersonal skills must also be exemplary.
