Training Catalog » Managing the Ill or Injured Worker Under ADA, FMLA and Workers' Compensation
Instructor: Mark Adams, Esq., SPHR
Fee: $105.00
THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY NOT SCHEDULED IN 2012. Absence from work causes lost productivity, added operating costs and even poor employee morale. Confronted with these financial and operational pressures, it is very tempting to take aggressive disciplinary action or even terminate the absent worker. As tempting as this may be, mismanaging absent employees who are ill or injured can lead to additional costs and potential liability as a number of laws including (but not limited to) the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and potentially state Workers Compensation laws should be included in your decision making process. This program will provide a road map to help guide employers through the intricate compliance issues involved in managing employees with a medical condition.
