Frequently handling real-time hotline questions, Mark is known for his ability to respond quickly and efficiently to member questions, synthesizing the facts and offering both a compelling legal perspective and the experience gleaned from two decades in the industry.
A frequent writer and speaker throughout the region, Mark guides management-level and C-suite professionals on topical issues ranging from drug testing to FMLA to employee vs. independent contractor laws. He is the primary editor and author of EANE's e-newsletters and e-alerts, keeping members in-the-know about pending legal and regulatory developments critical to the workplace. He is a certified trainer with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. He successfully spearheaded a national initiative with other associations to develop an HR metric calculator system to measure and benchmark the effectiveness of HR programs and practices.
Mark is a cum laude graduate of The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and the Western New England College School of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1992. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. Mark is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), which validates mastery in the field of human resource management and organizational effectiveness.
