EANE’s SHRPG is a membership peer group providing senior Human Resources executives a venue to openly share challenges, obtain thought-provoking encouragement, debate options, and create action.
Mission
The mission of SHRPG is to bring together senior Human Resources executives who, through candid, confidential, and passionate conversations regarding the challenges they are facing, create vibrant, challenging, and creative outcomes which lead peers to resolution.
Qualifications for Membership
The most important characteristic of a peer group is the expectation that members are currently similarly situated, so experiences, conversation, and solutions are more relevant to the members. In order to ensure this expectation, some qualifying characteristics should exist when considering the membership of a candidate. Our recommendation for identifying members who can provide value to their colleagues is as follows:
Candidates must have a referral from an active SPHRG member or EANE and must also interview with one member other than the referring member, as well as the peer group facilitator.
Candidates must currently be the head of human resources at their organization, reporting to a President or CEO.
Candidates should meet at least two of the following scope requirements:
o Five or more years as the head of human resources at their current or previous organization, reporting to a
President or CEO
o Annual revenue of at least $15 million
o Employee population of 200 or greater
