Understanding Your Behavioral Style as a Manager

Instructor: Debbie Bercume
Fee:

THIS PROGRAM IS PART OF THE LEADERSHIP IN ACTION SERIES
and IS NOT AVAILABLE AS AN INDEPENDENT PROGRAM.

Self awareness and adaptability are keys to interpersonal success for leaders.  Using the Everything DiSC® Management Profile, an objective assessment of behavioral style for managers, participants will learn their styles contributing factors. Participants will also learn how to adapt to the behavioral style of others.  Effective leaders have the ability to understand their style of managing and how it affects their interaction with those around them.   When leaders communicate with their people based on their understanding of their management style, they build mutual understanding, teamwork and trust.

Learning Objectives

  • Complete the Everything DiSC® Management Profile as pre-work to identify your management behavioral style
  • Review the DiSC® model and how it informs the role of a manager
  • Explore your management style in terms of priorities, directing and delegating, motivating and developing others
  • Understand the influence your management style has on how you manage time, make decisions, and approach problems
  • Develop strategies through action planning to increase your effectiveness in your management role
