April Safety Roundtable – National Stress Awareness Month (Virtual)
April 21, 2023 @ 8:30 am - April 21, 2023 @ 10:00 am

April is National Stress Awareness Month, raising awareness of the negative impacts on stress for people both in and out of our workplaces. There is no single definition for stress, but the most common explanation is physical, mental or emotional strain or tension. As employers, it’s critical for us to recognize how stress and anxiety manifest in our workplaces and to learn ways that we can help our employees build resilience and also direct them to helpful resources when it’s beyond our area of control or expertise. Stress and anxiety have a direct and negative impact on productivity and workplace culture, and when left unrecognized and unaddressed, can lead to catastrophic losses in our work environments in the form of not only financial losses but workplace violence and aggression. Join us for a presentation and discussion around identifying stress and anxiety related behaviors, solutions you can implement in your workplace and how to move forward with a more resilient workforce.
