This Act impacts the retirement security of all Americans to help improve individuals’ ability to save for retirement\, expand access to retirement plans\, and ease plan administration for employers. Highlights of Secure 2.0 include: enabling matching contributions for student loan repayments\, encourages automatic enrollment and contribution increases\, increases the catch-up limit and simplifies disclosures – just to name a few. These changes will result in BIG adjustments for HR professionals and plan sponsors as they work to adopt these updates into their own company retirement plans and communicate these changes out to their employees.
