Membership FAQs

What is the cost of EANE membership?

EANE annual membership dues are based upon the number of employees within the member organization. Click here to see the 2023 Schedule of Dues.

Are there services that are exclusive to EANE members?

Yes! EANE member organizations gain exclusive access to:

How can membership save my organization money on services provided by EANE?

EANE members receive a 30% discount on all of our HR solution services. Members have free access to our monthly HR Info Webinars and unlimited access to our archived webinars (a $95 value per webinar). Survey results are free for members who participate and available at a discounted rate for all members.   

How long does my EANE membership last?

Membership covers twelve months of member benefits. Member organizations receive renewal information 60 days before their membership period is due to expire.

Does membership offer me free or discounted registration fees for EANE trainings and events?

While there is not a universal membership discount on EANE trainings and events, there are several trainings throughout the calendar year that are free or offered at a reduced price for EANE member organizations.  EANE members always receive a 30% discount on onsite trainings.

How can EANE membership help me maintain my PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification?

In addition to the comprehensive certification study courses offered to help HR professionals prepare for certification exams, EANE offers thousands of credits (approved by SHRM and HRCI) in our public training opportunities throughout the year.  

EANE members can earn up to twelve recertification credits per HRCI renewal cycle and EANE members receive $50 off HRCI exam registration fees.

How do I access the member portal of the EANE website?

The main contact from each member organization is provided with their own login to access the member-only section of the website. This section contains sample forms & policies, compliance toolkits, archived webinars, e-newsletters and e-alert messages and the member forum board. Main contacts of member organizations can notify the EANE membership team if there are additional members of their organization that should be granted access to the member portal by calling us at 877.662.6444 or emailing their member relations contact.

Does EANE offer any member exclusive events?

Yes. While the majority of the training functions that we provide are open to the public, there are select briefings and webinars that are only available to current EANE members. Additionally, the EANE Annual Meeting is a gathering exclusive to members in good standing.

Training FAQS

Does EANE provide for medical accommodations and special requests at training functions and events?

Please contact us at 877.662.6444 or fill out the “Let’s Talk” form below in advance for any accommodations or special requests. Nursing mothers, please ask the EANE representative at the front desk or the program instructor to show you to a private area for nursing.

Where does EANE hold their public training events?

Our training events are located in several venues throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Click here to see a listing of our present training venues.

What is the EANE training cancellation policy?

In most cases, attendee substitutions may be made at any time and are encouraged when the original registrant cannot attend. (Substitutions must be made 7 business days in advance for programs that use a feedback instrument.) If you must cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 7 business days prior to the start of the program to receive a full refund of the program price. Cancellations or date changes made less than 7 business days prior to the start of the program will incur the full registration cost.

Does EANE ever cancel public training classes?

If we do not have enough registrants, we will cancel the program one week in advance of the scheduled date. For this reason, we encourage participants to register two to three weeks ahead of the scheduled training they wish to participate in. There are also weather related situations that can cancel a training.  

What are the HRCI and SHRM credits, who needs them, and how do I get a list of my credits?

Recertification Credits for HR Professionals – EANE supports recertification credits for both HRCI and SHRM certifications through our training programs, conferences, and special events. EANE is an Approved Provider for the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Preferred Provider for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Information about HR (general) and business (strategic) credits toward PHR and SPHR recertification, and credits toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certification, can be found in individual program descriptions on our website.  Please contact us at 877.662.6444 to request credits for a course you recently attended.

Do I have to work for an EANE member organization to attend EANE trainings or events?

No. The majority of the learning opportunities offered by EANE are open to participants from member and non-member organizations. There are rare invitation-only member events, but all public training events, webinars and conferences are available to the general public.

Are there discounts available for EANE trainings and events?

Yes. Organizations that send 3 or more participants to any single public training will receive a 10% discount for those registrations. EANE conferences offer early bird registration discount rates that save 15%- 25% off the total registration fee when confirmed more than 30 days before the conference date. EANE member organizations receive a 30% discount off of the price for onsite trainings.

Is there a dress code for EANE trainings and events?

Unless otherwise noted on your event invitation or registration confirmation, we suggest you dress comfortably; business casual is preferred. Temperatures in our classrooms can vary, so you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket for your personal comfort.

Does EANE provide lunch at their full day training events?

Lunch is provided for full-day programs.  If you have specific dietary needs, please plan accordingly as EANE is unable to accommodate special requests.  

What if I’m scheduled to attend a training or event on a day with inclement weather?

On rare occasions, EANE programs, conferences, and special events may be canceled or postponed due to snow or other weather conditions. If this happens, we will contact participants as soon as possible, using email addresses we have on file. If we don’t receive responses, we will try reaching participants by phone.

If a program has a small number of participants and some choose not to attend because of weather, we may need to cancel or reschedule the program. We will contact participants as soon as possible by email/phone. It is best to contact Registrations at 877.662.6444 if you are delayed due to weather conditions, so we know to expect you, but also so we can alert you of any changes due to low attendance.

For class cancellation information on the day of the program you can call 877.662.6444 and dial extension 3033.  Any class cancellations will be listed on that extension.

Survey FAQs

How do I participate in EANE surveys?

Invitations to participate in surveys are emailed to the Designated Survey Contact or main contact at member companies. The email contains instructions and a link to the online questionnaire.

The Survey Contact is chosen by the Primary Contact for your EANE membership. If you are not sure who your contact is or need to make changes, please call 877.662.6444.

Why is there an open survey and I haven’t received an invitation?

Do I have to be a member to purchase survey results?

No. EANE has specific guidelines and prices for members and nonmembers, participants and nonparticipants. View our survey schedule and rates here.
