• Lean into Leadership (Agawam)
    October 9 @ 8:30 am

Lean Into Leadership is built for supervisors, frontline leaders, and emerging managers in lean-thinking organizations across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

We built this program with New England Lean Consulting, a regional lean implementation firm. NELC brings the lean discipline. EANE brings the leadership development and 93 years of working with Northeast employers. Your supervisors leave with both: lean tools to identify waste and lead problem-solving, and leadership skills to coach the team that does the work.

What Your Supervisors and Emerging Leaders Will Learn

The program builds eight capabilities, organized across leadership skills and lean discipline. Both halves matter, and we deliver them together because that’s how they show up in the actual job.

Truly Respect People

Move from compliance management to genuine respect, the foundation of a lean culture that lasts.

Build Team Trust

Create the psychological safety that lets your team raise problems instead of hiding them.

Drive Influential Interactions

Lead through influence, not authority, so the team owns the work and the outcomes.

Lead and Sustain Change

Move improvement initiatives past the kickoff energy and through to the daily habits that hold.

Ignite a Culture of Accountability and Responsibility

Hold the line on commitments without slipping into command-and-control.

Embrace Continuous Improvement to Identify Waste and Boost Efficiency

Apply lean thinking to the everyday work, not just the kaizen event.

Engage Teams in Problem Solving with Complete Follow Through

Pull the team into structured problem-solving and finish what you start.

Set Priorities and Manage Them Through to Conclusion

Use lean discipline to triage what matters and protect the team’s focus.

How Lean Into Leadership Is Delivered

Lean Into Leadership runs as an in-person cohort program in the EANE training region, co-facilitated by EANE and New England Lean Consulting. The format is built for working supervisors, with focused sessions that respect operating schedules and balance classroom learning with applied practice.

Who Lean Into Leadership Is For

This program is built for the people running the front line of a lean organization:

  • Supervisors and frontline leaders who own a team and need to coach, delegate, and hold accountability
  • Emerging leaders stepping into supervisory roles for the first time
  • Experienced managers who want to add lean discipline to their leadership toolkit
  • Operations leaders who need their supervisors fluent in both lean execution and people leadership

The industries we see most often are manufacturing, healthcare, distribution and warehousing, library systems, and professional services with continuous-improvement programs.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can we run this on-site, just for our team?

Yes. On-site delivery is one of the most common paths for this program, especially when you’re sending a group of supervisors. Same curriculum, co-facilitated by EANE and New England Lean Consulting, delivered at your facility. Talk to us about an on-site cohort.

What’s the difference between Lean Into Leadership and Foundational Leadership 101?

Foundational Leadership 101 is our generalist first-time-manager program, built for supervisors and new managers across any industry.

Lean Into Leadership is built for the lean operating context specifically, manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, and continuous-improvement environments, and integrates lean discipline (waste identification, structured problem-solving, priority management) alongside the leadership skills.

If you’re building leaders inside a lean program, Lean Into Leadership is the right fit. If you’re building leaders in a non-lean context, Foundational Leadership 101 or Principles of Leadership is the better starting point.

What does the New England Lean Consulting partnership add?

The New England Lean Consulting partnership brings applied lean implementation experience from years of working with Northeast manufacturers and operations teams. EANE brings the leadership development methodology and the regional member community.

The two together let your supervisors learn the leadership skills and the lean discipline from facilitators who’ve actually used both in the same operating environment.
