The May Safety Professionals Roundtable Will Cover TWO Critical Topics Employers Are Facing Now!

Workers Comp and Remote Workers  |  This discussion will delve into the question of whether employees working remotely are covered under workers’ compensation laws and will highlight developing coverage considerations in case law. We will assess whether and when one’s home may be considered a place of employment for coverage purposes.  Finally, we will highlight best practices to minimize workers’ compensation risk associated with remote workers.

COVID 19 AND Long COVID  |  We will discuss the current landscape of litigation around COVID being deemed and ‘occupational illness’ and employer responsibilities as they relate to employees or vendors that claim to have been exposed to COVID in the workplace. The LB team will review a current cases and discuss strategies for employers to mitigate their risk.
